Amankora Bhutan has been a part of this fabled Buddhist Kingdom for almost 20 years, with five lodges spread across its central and western valleys. Amankora’s five lodges are luxury hotels, each a sanctuary intended to fit its particularly gorgeous surroundings, dedicated to offering an unrivaled experience of this pristine, year-round resort — in one of the happiest places on the planet.

The five lodges, which are surrounded by forests and orchards, have 76 suites that combine rustic characteristics with contemporary decor.
Amankora’s Lodges, are simple, exquisite sanctuaries sprawled across five pristine valleys, are as serene and out of time as the kingdom they belong to. They provide guests with a once-in-a-lifetime experience, each with its own distinct personality, perfect for your vacation to Bhutan.
Aman Paro Lodge.
Paro Valley, at an elevation of 2,250 meters (7382 feet), is a lovely place to begin or complete an adventure. The 24-suites, which are hidden in thick pine and have wood and black steel paneling on the walls, combine rustic features with contemporary design. Bathrooms featured terrazzo-clad bathtubs, twin vanities, a separate shower and toilet, and king-size beds, classic wood-burning stoves, and banquette window-seats. Hiking and cycling are perhaps the greatest ways to see the breathtaking scenery, and each lodge provides a comprehensive list of activities and routes. Guests will also be provided a “top ten” list of activities to try in each location.
Aman Thimphu Lodge.
The 16-suite Lodge of Amankora Thimphu is designed in the style of a traditional dzong stronghold and is located in the upper reaches of the Motithang district. The lodge remains a peaceful hideaway from which to explore both the city and the untamed Himalayan terrain, despite its proximity to the capital’s stores and landmarks. King-size beds, classic wood-burning stoves, and banquette window-seats are among the amenities, while bathrooms have terrazzo-clad bathtubs, twin vanities, a separate shower, and toilet.

Aman Gangtey Lodge.
The eight-suite Amankora Gangtey Lodge is nestled on a forested knoll with breathtaking views of the valley floor and the 16th-century Gangtey Goemba monastery in the little-visited Phobjikha Valley near the settlement of Gangtey. The valley, which is part of the Black Mountains National Park natural reserve, is home to a flock of 300 endangered black-neck cranes each winter.
The interiors of the suites are identical to those of the Amankora Thimphu, and each has a view of the valley. King-size beds, classic wood-burning stoves, and banquette window-seats are among the amenities, while bathrooms have terrazzo-clad bathtubs, twin vanities, a separate shower, and toilet.
Aman Bumthang Lodge.
Bumthang, or ‘beautiful field,’ is home to 29 temples and monasteries, including the ancient Jambay Lhakhang, and is a treasure mine of Bhutan’s art and painting traditions. The 16-suite Amankora Bumthang Lodge is located in Jakar, in the Choekhor Valley, next to the Wandichholing Palace.
Guests can embark on a variety of cultural and spiritual adventures from here, including the spectacular 108-butter lamp offering at Jambay Monastery. King-size beds, classic wood-burning stoves, and banquette window-seats are among the amenities, while bathrooms have terrazzo-clad bathtubs, twin vanities, a separate shower, and toilet.
Aman Punakha Lodge.
Punakha Lodge is reached by crossing a prayer flag-draped suspension bridge over the Mo Chhu River. It includes a traditional Bhutanese farmhouse erected by a previous Je Khenpo (chief abbot of Bhutan). The Bhutanese royals spend their winters in this subtropical valley, which provides the majority of the country’s vegetables.
With views across an orange orchard and rice terraces, eight of the suites are comparable to those in Amankora Paro. Two of the four Mo Chhu Suites have separate big living areas and are located in a new structure. Two two-bedroom flats can be created by combining the suites. King-size beds, classic wood-burning stoves, and banquette window-seats are standard in all rooms, while bathrooms have terrazzo-clad bathtubs, twin vanities, and a separate shower, and toilet.
There is no request that is too big or too tiny. We’re here to help you prepare for your vacation to Bhutan with Aman Kora.
